Horror movies

Ok, so I need to get in the Halloween spirit... suggest the scariest movie ever for me to watch!!  I love horror movies and don't scare easily, so the scarier the better!!!

Re: Horror movies

  • I don't like horror movies, I do scare easy!!!

There are a few I like though. I like Rose Red, The House on Haunted Hill, and When Darkness Falls. I think When Darkness Falls is my favorite =]

  • The Ring remains the scariest movie I have ever seen.  I had nightmares for weeks.

But I don't really "do" scary.  I have an overactive imagination.

I told Dave that this year we should rent a scary movie since we're not doing ANYTHING for Halloween (pout!) and he laughed at me.  Because he's not scared, but he knows he'd need to babysit me forever after.

  • I laugh during horror movies.  Pet Sematary scared the crap out of me when I was younger, but I haven't really seen it in a while.  I was scared to go in the bathroom after Candyman came out.

  • it depends on what scares you... i'm scared by things that are realistic.... like The Last House on the Left.... that really got to me! The Hills Have Eyes is pretty creepy too. Don't get Jennifer's Body... it's new and dumb. I have The Crazies on DVR standby this weekend.... uhhhhh
  • Last House on the Left was totally fvcked up.  I think I was slightly traumatized after watching that one.  The Crazies is weird (and messed up), but pretty good!!

  • Last House made me so so so sad. I just can't handle crap like that. Shlt, I watching The Lovely Bones last night and got super sad :-(
  • The Lovely Bones pissed me off.  I can't handle watching movies about rape/child abuse, etc.  It makes me irrationally happy to see the bad guys get it in the end.

  • Quarantine.  Since work with animals I found this very scary.

exactly. I was so so so upset by it. I had to cover my eyes when the sister broke into his house.

That's actually on my Netflix "qweee".  Maybe I'll bump it up to the top.

  • I completely forgot about Stephen King's Cat's Eye.  I used to have nightmares about that little goblin guy when I was little and would make the cats sleep in my room at night.  I should get that.

Haha, maybe that is why I have 5 cats!  That thing was SCARY!  I still get shivers thinking about him coming out of the baseboard! Brrrr, I just got cold chills!

  • Pet Cementary gave me nightmares for weeks! That creepy baby, Gabe - OMG.

The Others is a good scary movie. I think its the only movie where I've screamed out loud in the movie theater. I'm not super into scary movies though...lol I dont like being scared. The Ring is also really good.

  • So far, Quarantine and Jennifer's Body are the only two I haven't seen and I have no desire to watch Jennifer's Body.  I'm going through the list of horror movies on Netflix right now, but I've seen most of them :(

  • I had blocked Last House on the Left out of my memory, that movie SERIOUSLY traumatized me!!! We watched the unrated version and had to fast forward because they showed the WHOLE rape scene. I didn't feel right for weeks after watching it.

I've seen Quarantine, it was creepy but its just another people eating zombie movie.

We watched the unrated version too.  I can't believe they were THAT graphic.  Horrible.

On a happier note, while going through the horror movie titles on Netflix, I happened to stumble across "The One-Eyed Monster" and I am giggling almost uncontrollably every time I think about it... I seriously am a 12 year old boy.

DH rented Pet Cemetery last year. It is hilarious... so not scary (though it would be for a kid).

  • What about Hostel? The Cell?

    This times a billion.

Adam likes movies like that, but I get too creeped out because my imagination goes wild.  Even things that are not possible in the real world, just in movies, I think that it will happen to me.

Everytime there is a commercial for a new scary movie, Adam's like, "We're going to see that this weekend, okay?"

    My response?  "No."
