I hope I posted this right! It's on the Politics & Current Events Board...some of these responses totally cracked me up! I had to join in :-)

Re: **Mel** The "FB Pet Peeve" thread from P&CE Board!

  • I have a confession.  I totally thought this was a thread about PET peeves on fb.  I didn't figure it out that it was about normal pet peeves until 5-7 posts down. lol.  wow.  I kept thinking, so whats wrong w/ posting a picture of your pet?  Is this supposed to be about people who only have pictures of their pets as their profile pics?  ::shakes head::

I understand a lot of these peeves, but that's also what makes the hide feature so great!!!  If someone annoys me consistently I hide them.  I have no problem if someone hides me for posting my belly pics or for saying something like how much I love my husband.  To each either own, it's not going to stop me from doing it!

  • That's hysterical, and I agree with a lot of them. Although, some people don't seem to want anything posted!

I didn't want to post there since it looks like that thread is dying out, but has anyone had their feed clogged with a bunch of status updates about October having 5 Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for the first time in 823 years? Really people. Use some common sense, there's only 7 possible calendars for October (and the last time there was 5 Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in October was 1999, I looked it up). It's been driving me batty! I actually responded to one to nicely point that out, and the girl deleted my comment which made me feel kind of bad.

  • LOL! I read that one the other day. No issues wiht the status updates for October but what's really driving me nuts is that a few people are constantly posting Farmville stuff on my wall. I haven't opened up my Farmville in MONTHS!!! I think I forgot I had it.

  • Too funny!  Some of it was a little overkill but most of it very true!  I think we are all guilty of doing one of the things they mentioned.

  • I know I'm guilty of a couple, no doubt! On the one hand, some folks get so serious about FB that I'm almost like, "why are you even on here?" It's supposed to be goofy, mindless fun :-) Not something that you make a chore like a regular part of your life.

Outside of my SIL posting wedding pics that I felt were a bit too personal, I don't mind most of it either...Like pp, I either "hide" them, or just laugh it off - to each his own, right? I don't "defriend" people in real life just because they may get on my nerves, 'cause I'm sure I get on a few people's nerves too! So, I try not to take it too seriously....

But I apologize in advance for Sundays...I am totally guilty of posting all afternoon about football...Smile
