Your turkey pineapple melt sounds delicious. What else is on it aside from turkey and pineapple?

What type of cheese?

  • Ingredients:

1 (20 oz) can of sliced pineapples, drained

    2 tbsp butter

    1/4 tsp salt (i omit)

    1/16 tsp black pepper

    6 tbsp mayonnaise

    1/2 tsp dried chives

2 (8oz) loaves italian bread (I just use store bought hoagie or sub rolls)

    1 lb turkey or ham

    8 oz american cheese

cut pineapple slices in half, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat, saute pineapples in butter turning occassionally for 2 min. season with salt and pepper

Combine mayo and chives in a bowl and mix well. spread over cut sides of bread

preheat griddle (i just either use our oven or toaster oven) to medium, grease lightly with butter(if you have a griddle)

Layer bread with turkey, american cheese, and pineapple on bottom halves of bread. Place remaining bread half on top.

Cook sandwich until cheese is melted (about 5 min). Cut sandwiches into quarters and serve.
