I know its only Thursday but my mind is already on the weekend. What are your plans for Halloween (yay!) weekend?
Re: Weekend Plans?
DH, Pugsly and I are headed to the Chicago Botanical Gardens on Saturday, where they're hosting a "Spooky Pooch Parade." We're totally looking forward to seeing doggies in costumes.
I'm super excited for the weekend. I'm working my LAST part time job shift on Sunday. Woohooooo!! Welcome back to free time on the weekends Wittyschaffy!
Saturday my entire nuclear fam is going out to a delicious seafood restaurant to celebrate Middle Sister and Dad's birthdays. Yum yum yum.
AND I am going to try my hand at www.ana-white.com furniture this weekend by making a bed frame to give to middle sister for her birthday/christmas now that she has a fun funky new apartment. I'm super excited but even with my construction and building background, I'm still nervous I'll goof it up!
Nothing terribly exciting this weekend. Tomorrow night, my yoga studio is having an extended yoga session set to music and with goodies afterwards. I'm looking forward to it more than I probably should be...
For Halloween, I expect DH and I will stay in with a scary movie and hand out treats. I got some cute costumes for our kitties, so expect some pictures of those

I think we'll be going to a D?a de los Muertos event--there are two big ones here on Saturday. Sunday, we're visiting my parents. My dad is making tamales, and I'll bring calabaza en tacha.
Nicole, are you doing anything for your anniversary or just relaxing?
We are going to this Dia de los Muertos event on our anniversary (Saturday) in Hollywood:

Tonight we are going to carve pumpkins will all of my husbands nieces and nephews (all 20 of them!) so that should be a ton of fun.
On Halloween, we are having the family over to our house for dinner and trick or treating because my husband built a graveyard in the front yard.
And my C section was scheduled for Nov. 9th (in 12 days...eeek!)... she's still breech.
That's so exciting! Your little girl will be here so soon!!

Yay for Scorpio girls! My birthday is the 12th.
I think Friday night I will try to do some homework. I've been a total slacker ALL week; I haven't even opened my books once. I'm over these 2 classes so badly!
Saturday H and I are going to run a few quick errands and then have dinner at this Mexican restaurant we've been wanting to try near the house. We're making it a date night b/c we don't see each other much w/ our crazy schedules.
Sunday we're going to the football game (Bengals vs Miami). H doesn't know it yet, though (I'm telling him tonight)! My boss has season tix & can't go on Sunday b/c of a conflict w/ his son's football game, so I was the first to grab them when he offered them. I'm not even a fan of sports, either; I'm just excited to get out of the house and not deal w/ the kids begging for candy. (I normally don't mind, but last year we had a LOT of teens that decided they were too good to bother to dress up, so they just collected candy w/ no costume. I was prepared this year to tell them no, but now I don't have to).
I know! And I am really freaked out now that I know exactly when she will be here. I have kicked into overdrive with cleaning and cooking because I know those things will be difficult to do once she's here.
Your birthday is going to be here soon! I have a lot of Scorpios in my life (my mom and one of my BFFs) so hopefully she and I won't bump heads too much once she's a teenager (that is extreme wishful thinking).
We went two years ago and the year before that and it was so fun- everyone really gets into it and the cemetery is completely decorated.
Friday nights are usually our quiet date night. We catch up on shows recorded and have dinner.
Saturday is usually shopping day with a friend of mine and we may all get together for dinner and carve pumpkins...which will probably be the two of us while our DH's play some video game or cards or watch tv.
Sunday we are going to my parents house to celebrate DH's very belated bday (oct12) and I will be forcing him to watch Hocus Pocus while the trick or treaters come!
Hi! I am new to the board. This weekend we are having our second annual halloween party - adults only on Saturday. DD gets to hang out with her grandparents while we party it up. Then on Sunday we are taking the LO to a church carnival.
Welcome!! I feel the same way as Munkii, not too many friends wanting to have adult-only Halloween parties anymore
YAY! Rock that consult!
I am SO excited about Friday night!! I got DH and I tickets to go on a ghost tour of a location that featured on Ghost Hunters- check it out.
Other than that, nothing planned for the weekend. DH has a work project due by Monday, so I have a feeling he'll be working all weekend. I may curl up on the couch and watch spooky movies or something.
This has been the longest four day week ever. I'm beyond ready for 5pm today!
MH works tonight and tomorrow afternoon so I'm heading down to my parents house to visit with them and help them do some chores around the house. I'm quite hopeful that I'll be able to sort through their shed and organize the last of my holiday decorations to bring home.
Friday night: my mom and I are going to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas at the Artcraft. Quite possibly my favorite movie of all time!
Saturday: last minute winter chores at my parents, light grocery shopping, dinner with MH and parents. MH and I are planning to watch the USC v Oregon game.
Sunday: working on my outline for NanoWrimo, ironing work clothes, and passing out candy for trick o' treaters. Rumor has it everybody and their brother comes to Speedway for candy. Hopefully we don't run out.
