So the surgery went fine yesterday. I'm in a ton of pain. I have 3 small incisions. The one below my belly button is the worst. I'll talk to my doctor on Monday, thank goodness, because dh couldn't remember half of what she told him. The gist is that she removed the cysts and scare tissue from where I'd had one rupture before apparently. She also removed polyps from my uterus. There was something about the cysts and scare tissue shifting the bowels. I'll have a lot of questions!
I am being switched from the awful percocet to lortab. I've never taken it before. I just hope it works!
I'm pretty ticked at dh for leaving me home alone right now. I understand that he needed to go pick up our car from the shop and meet some client to pick up some computers (way down on Windy Hill), but I'm still pissed. I had one heck of a time trying to get him out of bed this morning too.
Sorry if the formatting sucks (iPad).
Re: Update
Glad that your surgery went well!
What problems were you having with percocet (it is one of the only narcotics I can take - I'm allergic to others)? I always have to get a Rx for fenagrin (sp?) if I take strong painkillers, because they make me violently ill.
Sorry DH left you home all alone, hope he hurries back after his errands!

That is how I am with all pain meds, I feel for you!!
If loratab makes you nauseous too, ask for fenagrin to take with it. It comes in suppositories as well as pills and is a fairly common anti-nausea med.
If the Percocet made you sick, the Lortab probably will, too. That's just the side effect of codeine-based drugs, unfortunately. Do ask for a Phenergan prescription. I used to tell patients that Phenergan works b/c it makes you so stinkin' sleepy, that you don't remember that you were nauseous.
I'm glad it all went well, though!
