My ear is on fire....

I told you guys about how I had two cartilage piercings and the top one was super-infected and my doctor uncle told me I'd get elephant ear if I left it in...  well, I haven't put an earring in that hole in probably 5 years.  My earring just fell out of the bottom hole and I went to put it back in... well, I put it in the wrong hole (that's what she said).  It went in with no problems and then I realized that it felt weird.  I had it in the wrong one and now my ear is burning.  It's seriously warm.  WTF?

Re: My ear is on fire....

  • I get this weird thing, sometimes in my cheek or my ear, where it turns really red and warm and I can just FEEL it burning. And it's only ever on one side. So I'll have one crazy red cheek or one super red ear.

  • Mine did that a couple times when I had my cartilage pierced. You probably just aggravated it, it should stop burning after a little while and go back to normal.

  • Clean it with soap and water now, then hit it with some rubbing alcohol when you get home.
