I finally had my dentist appt. It had been rescheduled 3 times (once by me then twice by the dentist). I knew I needed some major work done, I have been putting it off until after the wedding. Well, now the wedding is over and I am facing 2 crowns, a bridge, and a filling! It's gonna be lots of $$$, my dental insurance is not so good. It is just so unfair. I brush, floss, get cleanings every 6 months and I ALWAYS have cavities! The enamel never formed correctly on my teeth so I am doomed to a life in the dental chair. The good news, they take Care Credit so I will have a year to pay off the bill ![]()
Re: Dentist, UGH!!!
You are not alone! I had one Crown and I 3 teeth pulled so I am working on 3 bridges now. I brush I floss ugh!
Hubby is worse off than me! The only difference is we have great insurance with no limit praise God for that!
Wow Pak! That's a lot of dental work! There's so much going on, that maybe part of it will be in this plan year and the rest in the next plan year so you can get some more of it covered.
I hate going to the dentist ever since I had a filling and the dentist didn't get me completely numb. Visualize the drill hitting a tooth that isn't numb. Now watch the dentist pull me off the ceiling. I also have TMJ, so I always have to have that block put in my mouth when I'm in for any work other than a cleaning because I can't hold my mouth open far enough or long enough for them to do anything other than a cleaning.
I got my first crown in 2009 - I went in for one and he said "you have two dead teeth" What?!
So I had him do it all at once. I had never had anything other than the occasional filling done up to that point. And of course, he didn't believe me when I told him that my regular dentist has to give me anywhere from 3-5 novacaine shots to get me numb. So guess what happened? You can replay the bolded stuff again...twice. Yes, he did it twice!!! I hate dentists!!!!!
That is me! They just cannot numb my bottom teeth. I have had up to 5 injections with the last one actually into the hole he was drilling and I still felt it! I usually let them do 3 injections then I just grab the arms of the chair and tell them to go for it. I think I financed my dentists new building, LOL!
