has any one been to Denver Airport?
MN Nesties know everything
I posted this over on the Denver Bumpie page & just saw that I had 1 reply (that board is really slow) so I thought I would ask here just in case someone could help me out.
My son & I will be taking a trip in a 2 weeks & we will have a 3 hour layover in Denver. I was wondering is there any fun 'play areas" in the Denver airport? Any "must see/do" that would help kill the 3 hour wait? Also is there any great "kid friendly" Eats? Sorry for all the questions I have tried looking on the DEN website but I am unable to find anything kid related (this is really sad) If it helps at all we will be flying Frontier
Edit - it formated it really funny

No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
Re: has any one been to Denver Airport?
dia is a huge airport i was just through there with ian in february and have been in it a couple times before it pretty much has everything but kid friendly probably not much i never noticed anything but most airports dont really have anything youll have pretty much every resaurant under the sun and some cute shopping but other then that its a really big airport
i wouldnt venture out of the secured area dia security lines get really long and are slow to get through i almost go arrested there when i was pregnant with ian because they found something in my bag that made it through mpls security and i didnt know was there.
if you have questions patti just email me i am in denver about three or four times a year.
Janell I know you would know everything I needed
But I don't like hearing "everything but kid friendly " of the 3 airports we will be in that one is the only one that dose not have a play area grrr (MSP & SFO both have play areas I am told)
ya I have no plans on leaving the secured area, as that would be my luck to get stuck on the other side & miss my flight.
When I flew out on Frontier to DEN or into DIA (that's the airport) I flew out of Humphrey and they did have a "kid area" but it wasn't anything to write home about, might be ok for Mr. A being that he's still young but older kids would get bored pretty fast.
DIA "could" have something for kids I've just never seen it. They have a tram system to get from terminal to terminal and its underground...so there's wings of the airport I may never see by having to take the tram from point a to point b.
I could ask my sister, she worked at DIA for United and she may know more then I do.
I do plan on checking out the play area to wear him out
I guess the one in the lindbergh terminal is larger.
Oh that would be great if you could ask your sister I am really having a hard finding information.
There are really no "kid friendly" areas at DIA. Also, there's NOTHING near DIA (we live 15 minutes away and we've got a Sonic, Starbucks and Sushi place by us, that's about it), so I wouldn't suggest leaving to do something.
Security lines really have never been bad any time I have flown, which is probably 2-3 times a year, but like I said, there's nothing to leave the airport for. It's a huge airport, but definitely nothing near as user-friendly as MSP is.

Thank for the reply I was just looking at DIA's website and it looks Chef Jimmy's Italian Bistro will be the best place to have our sit down dinner.
