I took this one down. I was not thinking when I posted that this morning and didn't mean to upset anyone. Sorry about that.
Re: DD Siggy Pic Post
You've heard what I've done, not what I've been through.
If you were in my shoes, you'd fall the first step."
I agree with Pam
I read through everyone's responses and agreed with everything that everyone said. Cuz I get irritated about the same things. That's when I realized that it was insensitive for me to say that it was hilarious. I didn't slow down long enough to think that the failbook.com post might be from a real life post.
Upset probably wasn't the right word - I'm at work and was trying to do it on the run.
This morning I did a post about a "hilarious siggy pic" that I found on the Money Matters board. It was referring to a website called failbook.com in which someone said she thought she'd be able to get the iphone 4 because she was getting government assistance to pay for other things so she could afford the phone. It struck me funny, but there's nothing funny about it because it was likely based on a someone's IRL post. I felt like an insensitive idiot after I read the responses and realized it wasn't funny at all.
That's all. Not a big deal. I just feel really bad about it.
Don't feel bad about it. It doesn't sound like anything to worry about. It probably is someone's real life post because there are some people out there who are sh!tty enough to take advantage of government assistance and ruin it for the people who actually DO need it. There are people out there who milk the system and don't deserve any help at all, but there are people who genuinely need the help and there's nothing wrong with that.
I don't think you had any ill intent, so it's nothing to worry about!!
ditto!
Thanks for loving me anyway girls! Haha.
Hope everyone has a GREAT weekend!!
I missed it, too, but don't feel bad about it. I don't think anyone on this board is giving you the side eye.
I, however, will totally be giving someone the side-eye if their govm't assistance (funded with my tax dollars from the JOB I go to every day) is paying for other things so they can go out and buy a better phone than I have. Shiit like that pisses me off to no end. ::steps off my soapbox::
