I saw your confession earlier and eouellet's response on being pregnant while looking for a job in the legal field, and I definitely agree. Given that you are a new lawyer and still looking for a job, I think employers might not hire you. I know it sucks, but I would wait to get pregnant until you have shown potential employers that you're serious about your career as a lawyer and didn't just go to law school while you were waiting to get pregnant. I know that's not the case for you, but employers are quick to try to put you in a box. After all, even if you get to the interviewing stage, they only have a short time to figure you out. I can only tell you about the number of times people have asked me questions in an interview to try to determine if I was married or had kids. Obviously, they can't come right out and ask, but I know that's what they are looking for. And I can bet men don't get asked the same question.

Re: *Snoopy*
Good to know. I think we'll probably let nature do its thing and hope for the best scenario. Our job market sucks around here, so it may be many more months, if not years before I actually get a position I want. I don't want to put life on hold for something that might not happen. I guess time will tell.
I have to say that I think that might be the case in any field.
