I wonder if the downballot will help Obama in VA
The vote I'll be most excited to cast this year will be for Mark Warner for Senate. ?I totally
Mark Warner
--he is an actual "maverick" who cherypicks good policies from both sides of the aisle. ?The polls have him well over 50% here.
If it were him instead of Obama, I'd be onboard in a heartbeat.?
Re: I wonder if the downballot will help Obama in VA
Yeah, I remember major rumblings of him running for POTUS this time around. I also heard that there might be a big skeleton in his closet and that's why he didn't run, though I can't believe that it wouldn't have been unearthed by now.
I really like him, too. And I hope he does help Obama!
As a conservative in VA (like yeah), I also
(not broken, of course) Mark Warner. He has widespread appeal, obviously, for his "across the aisle" policies. I expect him to be a rock star in Congress, just like John Warner. But I wonder about the bump for Obama. I feel like Virginians like their checks and balances with their lack of a dominant party in the state congress. It'll be interesting to see how NoVA and Hampton Roads swings the state; I'm still not convinced Obama will win it.
