I must have missed the memo
I think I missed the memo to dress up for halloween.
We have a gorilla in the office, going around handing boxes to box up files in. He put some tax returns on my desk that need to be amended as well.
We have Jackie Moon - chanting fourth place as he walks down the hall.
We have a slutty kitty as well.
Yes, I work in a CPA firm with multi-million dollar clients. Maybe because it's a state holiday today, people thought it would be appropriate.
I'm in jeans, and an older top - it was cute when it's new. I'm dressed up as an unemployed accountant.
Re: I must have missed the memo
We dress up every year on the Friday before Halloween. I am a garden gnome. This guy:
H will be going as this guy tomorrow night:
Should be an interesting time at the party.
So you never heard back from the interview?
For the job I really want - the hiring manager hasn't made a decision yet.
I've had some other interviews. I'm hopeful that something will pan out soon.
I love this. Keep your spirits up - the right job for you is coming, I'm sure of it!
Also, I hate Halloween, so I would have joined you in being non-costumed.
Thanks for the good thought!!
I'm getting interviews, it just seems to be moving slow. For example I had a phone interview, they called me back for an on-site, but they scheduled the on-site 3 weeks out.
Right now is the 'slow time' in accounting. Things don't pick up until the second week in january, and get really busy around the middle of Feb. No one's in a hurry, and I don't blame them.
I'm confident I'll find something before the next 'busy season' starts.
