How do you protect your hardwood tables?
We usually eat meals at our counter but ever since the little guy started climbing on the stools and up on the counter we have had to take the stools away and eat at our dining room table. I can't keep a table cloth on because the little guy will pull on it so I use plate mats but still seem to get scratches and nicks. How do you clean and protect your hardwood table from scratches?
Re: How do you protect your hardwood tables?
I have a table pad... it was custom made with my table, but if your table is standard sized you can definitely buy one at any furniture store.
For cleaning when we don't use the table pad, the store where I bought most of my wood furniture from told me that the best way to keep it clean and safe is just warm water and a soft cloth. For sanitizing I sometimes sqeeze a SMALL amount of lemon juice into the warm water. I've also invested in a wood marker that is the same color as my table for the inevitable nicks and scratches.
