Someone talk me out of this
I had this idea in the shower today that since H and I have done so much stuff this year I would write one of those letters to put in Christmas cards, but I know people hate those things. In my defense, I would only add it to the cards of people who might actually care. But I know it's a bad idea and I still want to do it.
It's a bad idea, right?

DON'T DO IT!
We have cousins that do this, and they're so freaking BORING. My parents and I laugh about it every year (we're not close with the cousins, obviously). My mom and I have been joking for years about doing a totally fake one - saying ridiculous things, like my dad just got out of jail and I found a cure for some random disease that doesn't exist...but the real ones are super AW-y to me.
Really, is there anyone that doesn't know what you're up to? If so, shoot them an email or give them a quick (handwritten) note in a holiday card - make it a two-way conversation, KWIM?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Those letters say 2 things to me:
1) I'm a big AW
2) You don't mean enough to me to get a personal note
Ok thanks. I needed to hear that.
