How was your TOT turnout this year?

If you passed out candy, did you have a lot of TOT-ers?

Or if you were out and about, did it seem like a big crowd or not so big?

Re: How was your TOT turnout this year?

  • I went over to my parents' to pass out candy.   They normally have between 250-300 kids, and the past couple of years it's been closer to the 250 mark.

This year, however, they bought 320 pieces of candy and we were completely out by 7:20!!!   And that's handing just 1 piece per person!

    It was CRAZY!

  • We usually run out of candy around 7:15...so this year I bought a TON!!  I still have some left over, but we must have had at least 200 kids this year.

Kinda dwindled about 7:40...Those last few kids were really happy with the handfuls of candy I was dumping in their bags to get rid of it!!! lol

  • We were steady for awhile then it died down, not too many after 7:30. I'd say a couple hundred. And haha - we gave the too-old kids that didn't dress up tiny tootsie roll suckers. No chocolate for you if you don't make an effort!

There were a few stragglers after 8 that DH turned away (we were out of candy anyway) that complained/didn't understand that trick or treating was over. Go home!

  • we didn't make it home in time, but it was looking busy in whitehouse as we drove thru.   we got home around 7:25 and only saw 2 small groups of teenagers walking thru our neighborhood.

  • We got 2 TOT kids, we took J out for a little bit and walked about 3-4 blocks. There were 4 houses giving out candy. We're going to have to find a better TOT location next year.
  • We had a bag of 180 mini candy bars and every single one was gone.  My mom passed out so we could go TOT with Davis.  She gave one to each kid.  We always get a lot of kids though, I think we had the same last year.

  • We took A out to TOT with the little neighbor baby (4mths old).  We took them out to see the kids in costumes, but didn't go up to the houses to get candy.  We were really disappointed because we only saw 2 small groups of kids.  A got a big kick out of the costumes, so I really wish there would have been more TOT out.
  • We usually have TONS of TOTers but this year, they were way down...  we bought a 255 piece bag and still have a crapload left...  Normally, we would have run out.
