Probably 30-40 on Sunday night, we weren't home Saturday night. I was really aggravated with DH because we were just coming home from out of town and were going to leave the lights off but he went to the store and bought some candy because he didn't want to be known as the "a-hole who didn't give out candy" so of course that meant I got to give out the candy while he kept the dog occupied in the kitchen. Lucky me.
And the little buggers felt the need to tromp through my flower bed and trample my newly planted pansies, even though they could just have easily walked down the driveway and stayed out of my flower bed! And the parents waiting for them didn't stop them from doing it, either.
Yes, I am the Halloween scrooge!!
we only had 5 which was more than last year but still disappointing. i love seeing all the kids dressed up! i saw more dogs than kids...

I have no idea, but I'm pretty pissed that kids today don't know that you're not supposed to go to a house with the porch lights off. DH & I were out in the cul-de-sac until I wasn't feeling well, so I went back inside. As I walked into the house from the garage, the doorbell rang. I had to turn around and tell them they had to go down to the cul-de-sac. It rang FIVE more times while I was making a sign for the door with an arrow pointing down the street. Seriously folks! Our doorbell is screwed up and makes a buzzing noise half the time, I felt like crap, the kitties were freaking out, and I was pissed! lol
From what I understand, most kids didn't show up until after 7. DH was home around 7:30 after some kids took most of the candy while he had stepped away from his bowl, haha. I'm kind of sad I missed the cul-de-sac party. I look forward to it every year.
We took our friends' son trick-or-treating, so we didn't give out any candy.
It was strange though because trick-or-treating here was on Saturday, and as we were at the grocery store last night, one of DH's coworkers called to ask why we weren't answering the door to give his kids candy. Ummm, dude, you're a day late, and you don't even live in our neighborhood, so I'm not sure why you came to our house.
amen!! i HATE when they move it.

19. I know the exact number because we bought a box of 20 Popcorn Balls from Walmart for $5 and only had one left. Since we didn't have too many last year I didn't want to get too much candy. I will probably do something similar next year.
My neighborhood decided to trick-or-treat on Saturday so most of them came on Saturday. A few people drove their kids in on Sunday. It kind of freaked us out because we forgot that Sunday was actually Halloween.
