I'm worried my novel is too fluffy
Like it's not going to be really deep or have suspense or surprise... maybe a little predictable. I used to love reading chick-lit type novels, but I've been reading more and more fantasy or suspense or mystery type things and now I feel like my book is going to be lame...
Am I alone in this?

My novel has no beginning (I started in the middle) and thus far reads like the most cliche Devil Wears Prada ripoff you've ever read. But it's gonna be fab, I'm sure of it.

Definitely agree with everyone else. Write, write, write! Don't worry about what you've written now. That comes later. The great thing about this being a first draft is that it's okay if it's not what you're hoping for. You'll have plenty of opportunities to revise, revise, revise.
