Happy NaNo Day! (and intro)
Hey all,
I had to stalk the book board to find you guys, but I'm here! I used to be a book boarder, but now I don't participate much outside of my local boards. I was hoping I could hang out here in November and help cheer on and get cheered on for NaNoWriMo.
So how is day one going for everyone? Anyone stay up and do a midnight write-in? Get up and write? Can't wait to get home and write?

I stayed up last night and got to 1,670. I'm about to head out for breakfast with a friend, but my plan for as soon as I get back home is to throw in another load of laundry, turn on my ipod, and write! I'm hoping to bang out 10k in the first couple of days. This will be critical because my in-laws are coming next week so I won't be able to write whenever the mood strikes me. I also have to finish cleaning the house this week.

I'm so impressed with everyone who started writing already! I am hoping to devote an hour to writing when I get home this evening. We'll see how far I get. I can't really "win" since I'm working on something I started previously,but I'm excited to make serious progress this month.
Myrrhine, I say that you WIN so long as you write 50K new words during the month - who cares if it gets tacked on to something you already wrote?
I didn't stay up to write last night, but I kicked ass during morning nap time and am sitting at 3K. I'm about to put the boys down for afternoon naps and hoping to kick out at least another 1-2K since I have to take tonight off to hang with a friend.
