  • Yeah, there were three or four responses, none of them in any way harsh. I guess hearing that couples should work out their own solutions regarding religion and tell their parents to stuff it was too much to handle.
  • I guess I don't know how she didn't know that her DH was coming from an anti-religious family (or at least an outspoken anti-religious MIL).

     

    ETA: I should say "anti-Christian." I could understand some of the drama if DH's family came from a religion did that wasn't in agreement with Chirstian views and beliefs.  But again... I'm sure that would have come up before.

  • Was his mom anti-Christian, or just anti-this-particular-flavor-of-Christianity? I was typing a (fairly long) response so I'm sure I missed any further information she provided.
