So one of the lovely side effects of pregnancy is gas and bloat. (Sorry ladies). So I've been sitting here at my desk, dying and feeling like the Goodyear Blimp for the past almost 2 hours when this high-maintenence needy employee has been here looking for materials. (I work in a corporate library).
I am dying to go home and just be in the peace of my own home where I can not so delicately let one rip and feel better FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. But no. Just as I was about to pack up my things he appears in my office door with 20 questions and needing more help. Ergh!
Oh, and the nearest bathroom is like 5 feet from where he's been sitting. I have SOME pride here, people. I need my privacy so I'm holding it in and suffering....
What a Monday....5 more minutes, though, and I am out of here. Or else we both might regret it...
Re: OMG, go away
You've heard what I've done, not what I've been through.
If you were in my shoes, you'd fall the first step."
hahaha that sucks! I feel your pain though-- our staff bathroom is a child-sized stall in someone else's office, so you can hear EVERYTHING. My body instinctively holds it in until I get home!
Greg on the other hand can't wait, and so he announces it to the office when he needs to fart so no one walks over to his cubicle! haha
I feel for ya. They do get better but those are the days you just want to sit at home!
Ha, so glad I am not alone in this boat. I finally got home and thank goodness! Feeling much better now! lolol
I have my own office, too, but this guy kept barging in every so often and I had no idea when he'd be coming in next so it was like adding to my anxiety. Haha.
On days like today I am actually glad my DH travels for work...
Hahahaha, I'm so sorry! I can imagine the relief as you got into your car. Did you have carseat liftoff? lol.
Have you had nausea/morning sickness? I've had this crap almost every day since week 6 and it's still here! It also lasts all day so "morning" is a lie. My sister had this beautiful pregnancy with birds singing and flying around her head when she walked. Me ... I have gas, nausea, hip pain from my already spreading hips - no birds singing here!
Are you going in for a 3d ultrasound for early gender?
Thankfully the morning sickness has not plagued me - I've had my share of food aversions, though (right now chicken is out of the question and most mean = blech so I've been eating PB&J's for lunches lately). I've never thrown up, though.
I have the gas, had constipation issues earlier on, and fatigue. Now my right foot has been aching for the past 2 days. This better now be the feet growing I hear about in pregnancy...I can't think of anything I did to actually hurt my foot (step wrong, etc). Ow. Oh, and did you know our ribcages will also expand by an inch or two to accomodate increased lung capacity for more CO2 release? Fun!
