Hi Ladies,
Let's try and get this board moving!
We had a tiny wedding (16 Guests) and I have a tie on my favorite gift....
Our landlord/ great friend got us season tickets to U of Arizona football... (I got my BA here and am in Law School here). It is awesome, Hubby and I LOVE to go to games but never could have afforded great tickets like she gave us! A gift that keeps on giving!
The other was a Lladro statue from my really close family friends that live in Spain. Not only did they give us an amazing present, they surprised us and came to our wedding! We didn't know they were coming until 5 days before! (Luckily since it was a small wedding it didn't matter for our dinner reception)
What was your favorite wedding gift?
Re: Favorite Wedding Gift
I think I have a tie also...
My MOH got us Yankees/Red Sox tickets for October. I'm a huge Yankees fan and she is a Sox fan, so it was so much fun going
We also got a Cuisinart Griddler that I absolutely LOVE!!! I have used that a lot more then I though I would!

My DH answered: money
Mine: Really cool scrapbook (instant scrapbook..so super easy) which was started already from Hallmark from matron of honor
I would have to say it was the newly weds handbook that was a gift from my workmate. Hours of entertaining reading.
Then probably the Jersey Boys tickets that my Bridesmaid and her Mother got us.
One of our GM arranged for us to have a couple's massage during our mini-moon in Vegas. It was at one of the nicer spas on the strip and it was divine!
The most sentimental gift is the recipe book my aunt made me. My grandmother (her mom) passed away a 1.5 years ago and my aunt made a scrapbook of all of my grandmother's favorite recipes. I used to cook a lot with my grandmother when I was little, so this was a very, very special gift. The recipes are originals complete with handwritten notes and lipstick blots!
We used wedding gift money to buy our dog, so that's probably my favorite. Even though she's in her "teenage" stage and thus incredibly annoying sometimes.
I also love the vacuum cleaner we got from some of my coworkers. Hooray, clean apartment!

DH---our couch. We used our wedding money for a brand new, soft, fluffy, non-hand me down sectional couch that makes our house look like a home rather than a college apartment.
Mine--Two of my college roomates got me a bag of kitchen fabulous---a cow shaped milk pitcher, lovebird salt and pepper shakers, baking dish, cookbook, a pretty spatula, dishcloths, etc. I love it--it's so quirky.
Hmm, this is a tough one.
I absolutely love the doormat one of our bridemaids and groomsmen got us with our last name on it. It greeted us at our door when we got home from the honeymoon.
I also love a sculpture that my mom's aunt made us and one of my uncle's works of art. I have an incredibly talented family and I love having their artwork in my home.
As practical things go, my everyday dishes, silverware, and kitchen knives are fantastic!
Our Keurig, hands down. I would be a non functioning shell without my coffee, and it's super fast so I can get caffiene asap.
My parents also paid for our hotel room for two days while we were at Disney and that was really nice and helpful.
I love the Kitchenaid (and the pasta maker we used some of our wedding money to buy) that was intended for DH to use. I use it all the time - baking, pasta, yum!
I also love our new baking dishes. So much fun but so dangerous since now all I do is bake and eat.

I don't think I can pick just one.
I love the Calphalon cookware and the panini maker, we seem to use those the most. We got more money than I thought and we put it in the savings for now so that was really nice.

I def cannot pick just one...I also loved everything we registered for, and am grateful for all of it. The all-clad, the le creuset, all the beautiful linens...me happy.
The money was truly wonderful however, as we paid off credit cards, and saved for buying a house, and starting DH's own company.
:-)
My great grandmother, 97 years old, came down from WI to IL to be at my wedding. It was just special to have her there, but she also made DH and I the most beautiful quilt I've ever seen. It is in our wedding colors and so beautiful! I am probably going to be the only great grandchild to get a quilt like this, as the age gap between me and the next oldest is about 8 years, so the quilt means a lot to us.
