How many trick-or-treaters?
So...how many did you get? I was convinved that we would get a ton since we live in a much more populated areas now...and I was SO excited to finally meet some of our neighbors and people around us...but we only got 9 in total (3 doorbell rings lol). And all teenagers who didnt even have costumes on for the most part

And now WTF am i going to do with the mass amounts of candy left over!?!? LOL

Re: How many trick-or-treaters?
We also had a lot, yeah probably like benmel, about 30-40. I actually expected more though. Since we're living in the same neighborhood as my parents/the neighborhood I grew up in, I really remembered there being a lot more and thus expected more... I have to say though, the majority of them came between 7-8:30 and I thought that the trick-or-treat times were 5-7 with it being a school night. Oh well, I can't complain because my 4 bags of candy (not real big bags though) are completely gone. And most kids I only gave 1 piece of candy. Except around the end, like 7:30 and on, I started giving out 2/kid.
It was still fun, though, I was so excited! I sat out on the porch dressed up in my Avatar costume from Saturday night (we went out with all our friends all the boys painted themselvesblue... there were about 12 Avatars in our group! lol). I had put a bunch of Halloween decorations out too, it looked so cute. I'm going to put some pics on facebook
Wow...I couldn't imagine! We get at least a hundred, probably more. They start right at 6pm and come in droves pretty much non-stop until 8.
We got sick of always running out of candy and having to shut down early. We got $60.00 worth of candy this year...the checkout girl was laughing at us when we were checking out. And we don't have a whole lot left over.
We also expected more than last year because of more people with kids moving into the neighborhood and a new elementary school down the road, but we actually had much less than last year. We probably had a solid half hour of trick-or-treaters, but after that it dwindled to around 2 per hour until 9pm, when I gave up on it. Last year we had non-stop kids for almost 3 hours, and more young kids (this year was mostly older kids/teenageers). *shrugs*
I was kind of disappointed by not having many, but I was more disappointed that our next-door neighbors didn't stop by. They usually stop at our house first and chat a bit, but we didn't see them at all. Oh, well!

Everyone welcome.
We ran out of candy at 8pm! I even put in a bag of lifesavers from the cupboard. Last year I had a whole box left over, so I bought less this year, and had more kids. Probably 30.

I made 125 treat bags and ran out ... and had to bust into our personal stash. I'd say close to 150.
One of my neighbors actually rented one of those big popcorn machines and handed the kids bags of that. That was a really cool idea.
We only had like a dozen and 3 of them were my niece and nephews. They thought there were pretty slick when they walked up to the door trick or treating and my friend answered the door and gave them candy. Then they had to figure out how to come in the house. lol it was cute. We had a Halloween party the same night so I didn't give out any of the candy. It was who ever was near the door, but I have aton of candy let and I only bought 2 big bags. So I know there wasn't many.
I can't stand the teens who show up without a costume on!
