what does it mean to waive a player? i thought you signed contracts when you joined a team? i don't get it.

Can't say I'm surprised. I have never been so disappointed as a Vikings fan as I am this season. The whole thing has been a giant soap opera. Did anyone see his press conference last night? I heard he was quite the jerk and said some things against the Vikings? That and his lack of performance prompted him being let go today?

My MIL just got a Moss Vikings jersey yesterday. She was so proud of it too! Stick out tongue Good thing she didn't pay very much for it. But I'm still smirking.

I don't even want to watch the Vikings this year, but especially not with DH. He is so upset. I go find a quite corner in the house and read a book.

They may as well get rid of favre and childress and start fresh. I'm shaking my head at a lot of the decisions the vikings have made this season.

I think when a player is placed on waiver, each team, starting from the bottom up, gets a chance at signing him. If none of the teams take him, then he is a free agent and can sign with whoever he wants.

Does that make sense?

THANK YOU! I totally agree with this, those two are the two most ridiculous people out there!

Also how much do you think Favre is going to kick himself (with his broken foot) if he doesn't accomplish ANYTHING this season because clearly this is his last, and nothing good is coming to him. The only thing he will remember from his last season in the pros will be that pictures of his "hot dog" came out! hahaha!

I will forever be a Randy Moss fan. I'm sad they are letting him go. The man speaks the truth - people like him, like him or hate him, are too few and far between.

Get rid of Favre (Pevre) and Childress. Dumb & Dumber. Favre has a huge ego (and a little wiener) and Childress has no sense of direction.
