A friend of mine and I are both looking for a new ob/gyn. We both live in the east metro (Woodbury) and it's important to both of us to have a doctor and/or midwife that would be knowledgeable of and supportive of natural family planning. Any recommendations?? TIA!!

I saw Dr Kelly through Metropolitan OBGYN in Maplewood with DS and both DH and I really liked her. I'm not sure about the NFP though.
Although I had a great experience with Dr Kelly, I decided to switch practices with our 2nd, who we then lost. On AJplusKev's recommendation, great IRL friend, we started with Fern Aspen a CNM through Stillwater Medical Group. I have yet to meet her in person, but based on what AJ has told me and my conversations with Fern post-mc I am ecstatic to work with her. I think she would be open to NFP.

I used to see Dr. Kelly too. However, I switched to seeing a NP in the clinic because I just was there for an annual exam and it seemed like overkill to see the Dr. (and it was getting difficult to get an appointment with her) and had a HORRIBLE experience with one of them at the clinic. It was bad enough that I changed clinics entirely. I currently see the NP at Comprehensive Healthcare for Women just North of the High school and have liked it so far. DH and I will be TTC in the next few months and I'm leaning towards finding a midwife because I feel like that may be a better fit for me. Good luck finding someone you like!
I go there too. I've had almost all the doctors there between both of my pregnancies and liked them all. They were very supportive of my charting to TTC.
It's always fun to see the east metro recs as I work with many of these docs pretty frequently. I worked with Dr Flynn last night actually, found out we grew up in neighboring towns.
There isn't really anyone at Metro OBGYN that I wouldn't recommend from what I have seen in the operating rooms with them. That is one really awesome group.
I have seen Joan and Ann, the NPs in St Paul and Woodbury. Both were great.
Thanks ladies!!! I really appreciate all of the recommendations!
