Hi, my husband will be in Greensboro for about a week for business and has some down time. Neither of us know anything about the area so I was hoping someone on here could recommend some local sites/anything fun and unique to do or see. Thanks for any tips, or links to favorite websites for the area, anything like that. He's running out of time to prep for his trip so it's falling on my 'to do' list but I don't have much time to research it for him.

Re: Greensboro area
Greensboro has quite a bit of things to see/do depending on what your interest is. There's the Guilford Courthouse National Military Park, Natty Greene's Brewery (excellent local beer and good food! I love it!), The Bicentennial Greenway that goes all around Greensboro, and, I don't know if it's just your husband that is coming down or if you and your child are coming too, but I thought I'd mention the Children's Museum just in case you are.
I'm sure some of the other Triad women will have some more suggestions too.
It may or may not be his "thing" but he might fancy a visit to the Greensboro Historical Museum and/or the International Civil Rights Museum as well. Downtown GSO would be a decent place for him to walk around for a bit and maybe get a meal or two. As PPer mentioned there's Natty Greenes, across the street is McCouls Irish Pub, there's Cheesecakes by Alex, and Dh and I just ate at a new place that we enjoyed very much Center City Grille or something. This is a link to the places in downtown.

Hope this helps!
I will try to give you some links that were not mentioned above.

Gnam Gnam Gelato is yummy and Loco for Coco is a nice treat. Print Works Bistro has really good food (Green Valley Grill and Lucky32 are owned by the same company and are good a well).
