How clean is your car?

I took my car to the dealership to get service done on it. I was so embarassed when I went to pick it up because I realized how filthy my car is. I bet the service technicians judged me based on how filthy it was.

Let me tell you how dirty it is. The carpet has crap all over it, nothing that a good vacuum won't fix. The dash and radio are dusty and need to be wiped down. My cup holders are sticky from the Starbucks coffee. I have garbage on the side of the door that needs to be thrown away. I have a lot of junk in my trunk, some of which are items from when we moved back in June. Geez, just by writing this all down I am realizing how bad my car must look to an outsider.

Am I the only one who doesn't clean her car?

I clean trash out every time I get gas, so it stays clutter/trash-free. But I could definitely use a good detailing. I have dog hair EVERYWHERE!

When you were describing your car I thought hmmmm that sounds like mine!! Sticky starbucks coated cup holders, trash in all of the door pockets, I eat in there constantly so food is everywhere. DH is looking at buying a BMW.... I can't wait for his reaction when I muck that bad boy all up with my coffee and potato chips!

My car is still fairly new (got it in April) so I try not to eat in it and only drink with lids. So it's not that bad. I take all trash and anything else out of the car with me every time I go in the house. Right now I think I have my rain jacket and my canvas bags in there and that's it. I'm sure it could use a vacuuming and a good detailing to get the cat hair and dust out, but for the most part, it's pretty good.

H's car on the other hand is a total trashcan on wheels.

Ok after this post I am cleaning out my car today lol. I have a storage bin in my backseat full of votive candle holders that I have been trying to sell (with no luck) and my trunk has a box of these damask flower holder things that I have not been able to sell. I dont bring them in my apt because there is no room in there either lol.

My car cleaned out a couple weeks ago to go camping and it's surprisingly stayed cleaned out. There's a few things on the floorboard and it needs a good vacuuming but other than that, it's good.

My beloved Tina (my car) has been on jack stands in my garage since the summer. I'm waiting on some special order parts from germany for her. She WAS sparkling clean but now is covered in a sad layer of dust.

I voted other, only because my car is clean overall (I don't leave trash or junk in it, wipe down the dash as much as I can), but I don't actually wash/vacuum it out as often as I'd like to.

My H washed my vehicle for me when he took it for new wiper blades and an oil change a few weeks ago. It's still clean on on the inside except in the back (I have an SUV), I have an emergency auto kit, a bottle of antifreeze, blanket, an umbrella and a dashboard shade. I hate messy & cluttered cars.

I clean mine out once a week. We (E and I) eat breakfast on the way to work/daycare every morning so it accumulates alot in a weeks time. As far as garbage Im pretty good about 2-3 days on that and I would love to empty every time I get gas but I only get gas 2 maybe 3 times a month so that wouldn't work. I wash the outside maybe once a month...that one needs to change.
