Any good deals out there lately on washers and/or dryers? About fed up with ours!!

Im in the market for new washer/dryer too! I feel like I can never get a direct answer...people hate what they have or are lookin for new set as well...
I know I DONT want a front loader. More so a top loader like the Kenmore Calypso--energy saver. I had one at my old apt. Now that we moved to the house and I wanna continue with that (maybe) unless I hear about other washer/dryers that are efficient and effective in washing clothes.
How about you????
