Christmas is coming! (Don't judge me.)

Don't judge me for bringing Christmas up this early.  But here's the thing: I was seeing Christmas commercials on TV last night and today the Musical Choice Sounds of the Season station was playing Christmas music and I'm an absolute whore when it comes to Christmas spirit.

And I've been thinking about this for awhile but I told myself I wouldn't post about it until it was at least November 1st, but does anyone want to do a Secret Santa with our board this year?  I can set it up on Elfster if there are enough people interested.

We can cap spending however you want.  Let me know!

  • Yay!I was wondering if it was too early to listen to my White Christmas station on Pandora today :)

    I'm interested!

  • Even though we are Jewish I'd be in for that :) I love the holidays in general!  I'm so excited it's November even though it doesn't feel like it here in FL.

  • I think at least five interested people is enough to do this.  I'll set up an Elfster account for us and I'll let you all know when you can sign up.  I know there's a way to make it confidential so we can't all see everyone's addresses except for your person, so I'll do that.

  • oooh I want to! DH and I are trying to be thrifty this year since we're going on our HM at the end of Dec. so I'm going to vote for under $15.00

and btw, I don't judge people for loving Christmas. I pretend that I wait until after Nov. to start getting excited, but I definitely watched 'The Santa Clause' the other night when I couldn't sleep!

  • $15-20 sounds fine to me! and we can refer to it as a holiday exchange, since we've got all kinds of religions involved! :)

  • can you believe that last year christmas was somewhat downplayed and overshadowed by the fact that we all had weddings right around the corner?! i can't believe a year is creeping up on us!

we spent christmas at my parents. we opened gifts, which took an hour or so. after that, i spread out at the table and spent the rest of the day working on my bride hoodie, while my mom & DH helped. we were only one week out from the wedding. christmas was not the most important thing going on at that time! so crazy! i still have no idea how i managed to have a wedding one week after christmas!

  • I hope I am not too late to say 'I am in'.....

I LOVE this holiday. This is why I had our wedding near it. Can you guys believe it's almost a year for us? Where did the time go?

Yes!  I don't even remember what I did last Christmas.  I know I was with my family and H was with his, but I don't remember eating or opening presents!  It seems like all I remember from last winter was wedding related, haha.

Anyway, it seems like $15 is the general consensus so I'll go with that.  That's kind of what I was thinking, too.

  • H and I didn't even go home for Christmas last year. My sister drove down and it was just the 3 of us - we opened like 3 gifts and then spent the rest of the day doing a seating chart and making place cards and menus lol. I'm so excited to go home for the holidays this year!

    And happy 10 months everyone!!

It's CRAZY to think about this year compared to last year.  I can't believe we hosted Christmas Eve!

I'm looking forward to actually getting in to Christmas this year, instead of stressing about wedding details while doing Christmas things. :)
