Re: Don't forget to Vote today

  • I'm really hoping the lines aren't ten miles long after work today. It's the only time I can go.  Confused

  • I went this morning at 8:30 and there were no lines at all. Many of my co-workers who voted before work this morning also said they did not have lines at their polling places, so the wait shouldn't be too bad.

  • I went just after 10am this morning because I figured it would be busy before work and I live in a city where everyone leaves for the day to go work in some other city, so I figured if I waited it would be not so busy...well it was perfect timing.  No lines in and out...but when I left there was a line out the door I think the senior center bus had just dropped off!
  • I am very sad with all the woman that told me they weren't going to vote today, especially since it has ONLY been 90 years since we have had the right to vote. Not only as a citizen but as a woman I think we should use our right to vote.

I am going after classes around 6ish, I am very excited!

  • We went after story time, we got there right as two senior buses got there, but only 20 minutes in and out.
  • I'd like to know why there are 12.5% who voted NO.  Get up and vote!

    For. Real.

And afterward, please read about what our foremothers actually went through to get the right to vote.

  • I wasn't sure if I was going to make it. I had to work and then I had a test right after. I made it to the polls with 40 minutes to go! Big Smile

  • I technically didn't vote today (I did say yes in the poll though) as I voted absentee yesterday. I spent 16.5 hours today working as an election judge! It was a long day, but pretty fun! Yes
  • I woke up, showered and was out the door to vote at 10am. No lines at all for me. I told DH to go vote this afternoon when he was out and while we ate dinner tonight, around 7:50, I asked if he had problems voting and he said "Oh, I forgot to do that when I was out!". WTF, dude.... you have to pass by our voting place on the way out of the subdivision we live in, and there are big signs and lots of traffic over there. How could he have driven by and "forgot" twice.... ::grumble::
