My little house
Tonight the president of the local historic society stopped by and asked us if we would put our house on their Christmas candlelight tour. There are SO many things that HAVE to get done before this happens, but I think we're going to do it. OMG I'm so excited. I remember going on the tours as a child back in VA. I can't wait to decorate.

Thanks ya'll, we're pretty excited. We have a HUGE punch list that needs to happen, especially since we are in the process of converting the 3rd floor into a den and guest room instead of a "room that holds all of the boxes we haven't unpacked yet" and a guest room.
We also have to decide if we're going to do a 1960's Christmas theme, kinda like our house is decorated or if we go traditional, which is what we normally do. But I can't think about decorating until the punch list is done.
We have a HUGE punch list, today is to get a steam cleaner and clean the area rugs. Nothing is really major except the staircase.
Decoration wise, we have to get everything so it doesn't matter if we go modern or traditional. If we go modern we'll borrow a silver xmas tree and I have red balls already that we'll use to decorate. It would definitely be a step away from our norm.
My mom always puts one of those old-time aluminum trees in the window above the carport and she has a color wheel that makes it shine different colors. It's neat.
