He was working on wiring kitchen lights and outlets yesterday, and every little thing was setting him off. I asked if I could help and got snapped at. He got upset that he couldn't find his tools, and I didn't want to help organize in fear of getting my head bit off.
Finally after I couldn't find the cabinet list and he yelled at me I was like, Look - only one of us is allowed to be crazy and that's already me, mmkay? Told him to chill out, and he gave me the side smile he does when he's upset and it's dumb to be.
Yes we knew renovating the kitchen was going to be a big job, so let's just make the best of it and do one thing at a time until everything is done. It's all we can do, no use in getting upset. Poor guy needs some time off! Working 12 hr days 6 days a week does get to you.
Re: DH going nuts
That can definitely be tough. I am normally the one who snaps and yells. Luckily DH hasn't freaked out on me yet when he gets frustrated, yet. But good for your guys doing so much yourselves. Saving big $!
