If your the host what are you making?

    N/A

If your traveling what are you bringing?

We might bring toasted pumpkin seeds and/or pecan pie

Do you plan to be out at 11 pm waiting in lines for black friday sales?

Absolutely not.  Maybe online later to see what's good.

Can you believe chritmas is in 52 days which means you have 51 shopping days!!!!

  • for thanksgiving? We'll be with J's family since Christmas is with mine.

If your the host what are you making? Not hosting. I don't think our apartment would be a great idea to host a big family.

If your traveling what are you bringing? Probably baked apples. I haven't decided yet. I have cooks/bakers' ADD.

Do you plan to be out at 11 pm waiting in lines for black friday sales? Hell no. I wouldn't leave my family to be outside with a bunch of crazies - no sale is great enough for me to deal with massive crowds.

for thanksgiving?  Possibly (but not likely) my parents' in IN.  Not sure yet if H has to work or not...

If your the host what are you making?  If we stay home, I'll probably still make a small turkey and at least stuffing, mashed potatoes and pie

If your traveling what are you bringing?  If we go to my mom's, nothing.  It's too far.  I'll help cook, though.

Do you plan to be out at 11 pm waiting in lines for black friday sales?  Oh, hell no!  I'll be online first thing on Monday, though!

Can you believe chritmas is in 52 days which means you have 51 shopping days!!!!  Um, nope.  Crazy how fast this year flew by!

This is my husband to a T....he calls it one stop shopping. Thats because he goes one day usually the day before xmas eve and shops! I on the other hand start now since I buy all the family gifts if it were up to him the families would still be getting the unigift!

  • for thanksgiving? unknown.  possibly CA w/ DH's family.  if not, then we're unsure at this point

If your the host what are you making? N/A

If your traveling what are you bringing? if CA, nothing.  if my mom's, I always do the mashed potatoes and breakfast (butter braid).  If DH's house, I don't bring anything

Do you plan to be out at 11 pm waiting in lines for black friday sales? Not 11pm, but I will get up at 3 if I like ON's sale again.  Last year was my first Black Friday and I got all my major shopping done by 7am.  It was fantastic.  Trying to rope DH into participating.  It's much easier for one to stand in line and another to shop.  Especially if you have a written game plan like I did/do. :)

Can you believe chritmas is in 52 days which means you have 51 shopping days!!!! Can't wait!  That's plenty of time

  • for thanksgiving? to my cousins and then to DH's grandparents on the weekend

for thanksgiving? My mom's house - unless I can convince DH to let me host it (we have more room than my mom).

If your the host what are you making? If I manage to convince him, I will be making ham, mashed potatoes, corn (creamed and regular), stuffing, and some sort of cake TBD.

If your traveling what are you bringing? Either a cake or cupcakes, flavor TBD.

Do you plan to be out at 11 pm waiting in lines for black friday sales? NO.  I will head to the mall (although I might not actually shop) at some point though just because I like the bustle.  Now that I don't work retail, Black Friday is way more fun!

Can you believe chritmas is in 52 days which means you have 51 shopping days!!!! Nope.  I have exactly 1 of at least 24 presents already in mind.  I need to get started on this.

My deal is that I am going to murder your puppies and piss on your rainbows. -diablesse Lilypie Premature Baby tickers
  • for thanksgiving? I'm hosting

If your the host what are you making? I didn't make the menu yet. Definitely turkey, in and out of the bird stuffing, gravy (will need my mom's assistance), mashed potatoes, some sweet potato dish, roasted brussels sprouts, not sure what else.

If your traveling what are you bringing? I am heading upstate to my aunt's the next day, and there I will bring wine.

Do you plan to be out at 11 pm waiting in lines for black friday sales?  I will be drunk at 11 p.m.

Can you believe chritmas is in 52 days which means you have 51 shopping days!!!! I hate the Christmas rat race.

going up to see my extended family in NJ - found out over the weekend my Mom and her fiance (they got engaged on halloween!!!) will be coming up too!

If your the host what are you making?
    n/a

If your traveling what are you bringing?
i think i'm just going to make pumpkin bread and banana bread to take up there...my mom is making her fabulous cheesecake to take

Do you plan to be out at 11 pm waiting in lines for black friday sales?
hellz-to-the-no!  the deals that black friday pretends to have really aren't that great since they jack up the prices right before and do price cuts on black friday that are still well above MSRP - you can get good deals before and after Turkey Day if you keep your eyes open

Can you believe chritmas is in 52 days which means you have 51 shopping days!!!!
i've only bought 2 gifts so far, for my mom's fiance at that!  don's gift is a ps3 so that'll have to wait for my xmas bonus, which might mean i'm out on xmas eve getting it (which i hate shopping on that day)

  • for thanksgiving?

I'm from Canada, so we had Thanksgiving last month, but we went to my parents house which is about a 45 minute drive

If your the host what are you making?

    I didn't host

If your traveling what are you bringing?

My mom won't allow us to bring anything with us, so we just took ourselves and my younger sister home

Do you plan to be out at 11 pm waiting in lines for black friday sales?

I'm kind of jealous of black Friday sales, because we don't get that here, but at the same time I'm not sure I would want to deal with the crazy crowds.  I would like to experience it once though.

Can you believe chritmas is in 52 days which means you have 51 shopping days!!!!

No, thats crazy.  H and I are going on a late honeymoon in December so we will be gone for 15 days, so we have even less shopping time!

  • for thanksgiving?  I found out I may be hosting 2 thanksgivings.

If your the host what are you making? It hasn't really been discussed yet, but I believe damn.near.everything would be a good start.

If your traveling what are you bringing? n/a

Do you plan to be out at 11 pm waiting in lines for black friday sales? it depends. If Walmart or Kohls have something that I absolutely.have.to.buy than I'll go out in the morning, but if not I'm just going to stay home and get the cyber Monday sales.

Can you believe chritmas is in 52 days which means you have 51 shopping days!!!! SHH! I'm not even done shopping for ME yet for un-Christmas related stuff.

  • for thanksgiving?

    LIKE :)

  • We're hosting! Second year, since we got our house last year. Last year we did a fried (first time!) and roasted turkey. We'll have a smaller crew this year because DH's parents won't be here, so we're just doing a fried turkey this year. That will give me time to do this 10k race that morning that benefits the local food bank. I'm excited to do Black Friday, for the first time ever. I really want a flat TV for our room.

Ah yes, the Silverthorne outlets.  I can't imagine there EVER being mayhem there, it's so chill up in the mtn towns :)

  • Going- to in-laws.  It's a grueling 6 mile hike from our house

Taking - either Butternut Squash or Portobello Mushroom soup and possibly the turkey.  DH makes a killer turkey.   He soaks it in brine for 2 days.

Shopping - God no.  Can't think of anything less appealing.  And I'm like the others.  Hopefully I'll be deep into a glass of Bailey's or bubbly.

Believe Christmas is coming?  I guess I can.  They are already hanging decorations and playing ads on TV!!!  Shameless.

  • I would NEVER go to the outlets here in Gilroy.  Did it once and I will never do it again.  The stores open at midnight.  The parking lot in insanely full.  I went to The Gap one year at 1:00 am and the line wrapped around the entire store twice!

I would not even attempt to go to the Coach outlet.  Women camp outside really early.  I've heard of a few fights over purses, that is insane!
