Thoughts?
I'm iffy on Kaptur winning, not sure what to think about TPS, and glad that Tarta passed. I could've swore Strickland was going to succeed with all the people campaigning for him, and I thought Waniewski had a decent chance, but Edna Brown has too big of a hold in Cbus.
Re: Election results
I am pretty nervous with Kasich now, he is a supporter of a bill to privatize prisons (which DH works at) and that would mean he is out of a job. Pins and needles.
I think we need change from Kaptur, I just was not in love with Iott. I was personally glad that Lopez was reelected after some information from a nestie (I also researched her too).
I have beef with TPS right now.
Happy about Lopez and TARTA. Bummed about Kaptur.
VERY bummed about school levies failing.
Those are really the biggest things I cared about.
I'm not really surpised that the TPS levy didn't pass. I am a bit more surprised the Oregon school levy didn't pass, though.
I personally didn't like Iott(maybe it has something to do with the fact that a lot of my relatives-me included-worked for Food Town when everything went sour but thats just my feelings) but at the same I do think we need a change from Kaptur. Maybe someone else will run against her next time and help change things?
I am glad that Lopez kept her position. I'm glad Mark Davis didn't win(there is a backstory dealing with him and DH that I wont get into).
i do have to say that its sad only 48% of registered voters voted yesterday. It took me not even 10 mins(I had to vote provisionally) and the electronic machines are a lot faster! Its just a little irritating because these people that decided not to vote will be the first ones to stand up and complain when something doesn't go the way they like it.
