That's just to schedule the date, I can't actually schedule it for anytime before January 4th. But yes, it will be a lovely slightly belated Christmas present!
DH's divorce from his 1st wife (I'm the second wife - and last, hahaha) was finalized on his birthday.
That varies from state to state. I live on the Iowa/Illinois border and the laws in each state are very different. I know that in Illinois, a former co-worker's spouse wouldn't sign the paperwork so she had to wait for two years to go by, living completely separately, before the courts would finalize the divorce that she filed for. Before Matt, I dated a loser who was going through a divorce and he was forced to go through 12 weeks of court-ordered counseling with STBXW before the court would even look at the divorce.

Here in Vegas I filed for divorce on Thursday of one week and was Divorced by the Wednesday of the following week! WOOOHOOO!
My sister is waiting to schedule her date as well up there in Washington! UGH! hang in there kiddo 2011 is gonna be a great year! You have your house your puppy and your life back! No more pain in the arse depressed hubby! I know its hard but it will get easier! I am sure you have your highs n lows but we are are here for you!!!
