she asked me what my novel is about, so i told her it's a chick lit sort of romance with travel and cooking mixed in.
and she's like how can you possibly write a travel novel, you never travel (she studied abroad for a year in geneva and thinks she's like, the supreme european being). so anyway, i was like well are you saying anyone who writes a historical fiction novel shouldn't because they weren't actually present during the civil war? or the french revolution? and she was like yeah but they probably study it. plus, you have no idea what it feel like to be there. when i went to... etc. etc. etc.
what really makes me mad is i have always been so interested in looking at her photos and hearing her stories of her travels because I do care... and of course i'd like to go to those places...
ugh.

Thanks...lol. I vented to it to my older sister, and she was very sympathetic towards me. My younger sister drives us both crazy with her antics.
Positively throat punch worthy!
