Shop for me?
I have accepted that I need to replace my purse with a laptop messenger bag. This will be the only bag I carry Monday - Friday. I'd like something interesting yet professional or something that looks high-end but doesn't cost high-end. I'd go up to $150/$200 but I'd rather not.

You need a smaller laptop. I was going to suggest this bag:
which is the best messenger bag ever, but it only fits 13 inch laptops. They make a bigger version of it, but it's very spendy.

I have a 15" and I just made a laptop sleeve and carry a really big purse.
I got my last one here and I love it like whoa, but it's not super professional. I just search for oversized bag and look at the opening and dimensions.

I'm snickering that I tried to get you to go messenger bag 2 years ago.
SB do you shove the laptop in your purse then?
The problem I thought I would have with that idea was that the bag strap wouldn't really be wide enough to distribute the weight comfortably. Recently my crossbody purse just started falling apart from the weight and abuse it takes during my commute.

Yeah, I just stick it in there. My strap is like 2 inches wide and long enough to go cross body, but no padding on the strap. My last bag was similar with a little thinner strap.

I made a sleeve for Lorne once, and I've made a few padded Kindle cases, but my machine isn't cut out for the thick padding. I'm probably going to invest in a pro machine soon, but until then I are useless for this sort of thing.
