As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. Yea, I think I was dwelling on the rent receipt a little too much. lol
I've been home from work the last 2 days with a terrible head cold and apparently am pretty bored. =/
So, just a quick update. DH went over to the LL's house (which is next door) and got the receipt when he got home from work. Apparently no one brought it over 'cause she wasn't feeling well. Whatever...likely story. hehe Only I'm allowed to not feel well. Anyway, this won't happen again next month. I was talking to DH's cousin (who is a LL) and she said her tenant calls before he brings the rent over the day it's due. I like that idea, so I plan on calling on the first of next month and telling them to have the receipt ready...therefore, no awkward interactions and they can have their cash...and obviously they will never get the rent without me getting a receipt on the spot ever again. Lesson learned. lol
Enough of this...I'm sure you girls are tired of hearing it by now. I know I'm tired of talking about it. =/

See, personally I dont think that you were dwelling on the receipt issue - if they werent being "shady" about it, they are being unprofessional about it. Its a business transaction and they have to uphold their end of it. I mean, turn the situation around - if they kept coming to your home looking for the rent, and you gave them the runaround a whole bunch of times, you better believe they would have a problem.

Thanks Alisha...you're right! That's what I said to my husband. I'm not here to be friends with these people, I don't know them from a hole in the wall (we've only been here a few months), so when I first said I feel like a psycho path for keep asking for a receipt, I realized I shouldn't...this is a business transaction and if they want their rent, they will learn to give me a receipt at the same time...otherwise they will get the money when they can take 2 mins of their lives to write one out.
ooh and thank you...I still feel like total crap today...actually, I took 2 showers before 9am already, but once I get out of the shower, it's back to feeling like crap. =/
It must be even worse to be sick while pregnant. You poor thing!
