confession

I have baby fever...BIG TIME

*sigh* I know DH and I aren't ready for a baby time wise, and we definitely aren't financially..but ugh I want to have a baby so badly and to have a family of our own that is more than fur babies :(

I just had a friend that got married in Sept and just found out they are pregnant today. I'm happy for her..but I'm jealous too :(   I wish we were ready to have a baby :(

thats all, I just had to vent. DH doesn't understand haha so I can't really vent to him

Re: confession

  • lol in due time!!! i dont have the baby fever right now at all, but DH and i are not ready at all time-wise or financially either. its kinda of exciting to think about when we ARE ready (and scary) but just think about all the time you will have to prepare and be TOTALLY ready when the day comes.

maybe you need a new furbaby. i think it helps in this department ALOT to have a little furry baby that needs your attention and care (i have to admit, i had a tiny bit of baby-thinking before we got remington b/c my sister is due in december but getting him satisfied it and put me back to reality). and they grow up quickly so it wont be as big of a commitment (ps kittens are awesome lol)

and DH prob wont understand...its a girl thing. :P

  • OMG. I KNOW. I almost posted something about this the other day. DH was looking at pics on facebook of a someone he knows from high school who put pics up of their baby. He showed me this one picture and prefaced it with "Because I know it will make you say "awwwww".

Def. have the fever as well. And especially with me not having a full time teaching job right now, we know we can't afford it. We said when we got married we would wait until 2 years. I'm hoping we can afford it then, because I want one now!!

  • haha I said the same thing about babies to DH and he responded with "aww..having no money...aww not being able to put our child through college..aww not being able to afford to care for our child" I was like darn it!! can't you jsut say its cute and leave it at that haha.

we have talked about getting a fur baby, but I would feel guilty getting a puppy before we got Kiah a new sugar glider friend and DH isn't ready to replace Leo yet. he said maybe in Jan we can get another sugie but *sigh* we decided we're going to wait until we move again for his doctorate in a year and a half and rent a house with a yard to be fair to our puppy.

Its not like we have the money for a puppy now either. still...haha

  • I feel the same way.  I love looking at pictures of people's babies on facebook because they're just so darn cute. We can't afford one either, though, so we've got to wait.  Probably no baby til DH finishes Dental School, and we can't have a fur baby in our apt.  So maybe I'll just get plants?

  • I am more than ready!! I stopped at a friend's house tonight who has a 2 month old.  He is so adorable!!

We are going to wait until the spring/summer to start trying... which is good.  We will hopefully be in a house and I'll have a better handle on my  job by then.

  • We also live in an apt. that doesn't allow pets. DH is interviewing for a new job in a few weeks. If he gets it, we would have to move. (It's in WI, we live in IL.) Our lease is up at the end of the year, which would work out perfectly. I already told him if he gets it and we move, we ARE getting an apartment that allows pets!! We don't want to buy just yet, so we are putting that in our requirements for an apt. I want a puppy almost as bad as a baby!!

  • jnicole922   hahahhahaha! maybe you could get a fish??  How much longer does DH have left in dental school?? my DH wants to wait until he is through or almost done with his doctorate. He is in his masters now so it won't be for like 5 or 6 more years that he wants to start trying :(  I'm sure we'll get a puppy before then but...*sigh* its not the same

Haha... we have bad luck with fish in my family...we've been "fish-sitters" for people when they go on vacation and somehow the fish always ends up dying.  Or jumping out of the bowl.  Weird, but true.  And I DO remember to feed them!

DH is just starting this year, so we have about 4 years left too.  I was going to get my doctorate but decided just on a masters b/c it wasn't conducive to starting a family, especially for women.  I totally get where you're coming form Lil Lar.
