I've only been at my current job for about 8 months and in general I really like it. This is the first time in a long time that I've been able to say that. Good people, interesting work, flexible schedule. Unfortunately there are a couple of big negatives that are making me question whether or not I should stay. Mainly lots of people quitting and being fired. And I'm a contractor, so I don't have any benefits. Now that H and I are thinking about kids this is becoming problematic.
I'm going to lunch with my former boss today, and she's going to talk to me about an interview opportunity (a job she just turned down). It's a permanent position, so I'd have benefits, but the pay would be slightly less. The company has a reputation around town for not being a great place to work, but it would be a really secure job.
What would you do? I should at least go for an interview if I have the opportunity, right?
Re: WWCND?
I would interview.
