Generally polls tighten as Election Day draws near, so this isn't a surprise. It's going to be an interesting couple of weeks.
(Disclaimer: I'm the first to say I don't care much about polls one way or the other because I think they tend to be borderline useless. I'm simply pointing out on a recurring phenomenon

And that's one of the reasons I'm not a fan of polls. I think we've all learned that popular vote doesn't necessarily translate into victory.
Ahh but you have to admit the state polls give us at least some idea of what's going on and where the campaigns are headed.
I agree. I want high turnout!
But if it doesn't tighten, it might keep McCain supporters/supporters by default from voting thinking they are wasting their time.
