MH asked what I'm writing about. I've been keeping him updated on my word count but hadn't told him what my story was about. He finally asked over dinner the other night. I was a little nervous telling him about it. I told him, and he nodded. I asked if he'd read it when I was done. He told me no.

Then he said I have to read it to him, like an audiobook. This cracked me up, because MH is not a reader and has only listened to one audiobook in his life (mostly because I made him). So when I finish the first draft, he said he'll listen to me read it and tell me what he thinks.
Re: DH asked about Nano
aww, that's sweet!
my husband said he'd read it, but i doubt he will. he is also an audiobook fan, which i didn't know at all! apparently he listed to the whole twilight and harry potter series! i didn't believe him so i quizzed him about random, small details (non-movie) and he knew!!! i was floored.
maybe he'll want me to read mine.. lol
MH isn't a reader (well, he IS, just not fiction), and he used to be kind of indifferent to the idea of reading my book. But now that I've got a full draft (many times over) and the thing has been consuming my life as I finish revising, he's been dying to read it. I did read him the first chapter one night when he wasn't feeling well, but since then the whole thing has totally changed, so...yeah.
Anyway, I guess my point is his feelings might change. And I actually enjoyed reading it aloud to him! Though it was hard to turn my internal editor off and just read it without stopping to fix the problems I heard...
