I just got my first TN flame. I gotta say, starting over on a new site is kind of a pain in the arse.

It's honestly not even worth it. Someone asked for help finding dressy shoes less than 2", so I posted flats (and said that it's really hard to find cute heels under 2", so I thought flats might be the better route) and apparently they were just awful. I didn't actually like the first two I posted, either, but admittedly it's hard to find low-heeled formal shoes.
Whatever. I wouldn't think anything of it if someone said they were NMS, or whatever, but it was a pretty biitchy comment out of nowhere. I suppose I should have lurked first. I feel like the 'newbie' badge is like having 'target' written on your forehead.

Yeah, it's kind of tough because I like boards like ML because they are very active and there's usually something going on, plus I usually find that kind of sense of humor (that's common on ML and E) funny. But it's definitely hard to be the new kid, and sometimes people are mean just for the sake of being mean and I don't really get the humor in that.

Ferds, I know it could have been worse. I've kept a pretty low profile on the other boards; I don't post much and when I do it's not opinions or something that could be controversial, so I was just surprised.

When you said flaming, I thought it was going to be E-style, bandwagon flaming. That was pretty unnecessary, but definitely could have been worse!
There's a girl on another board that I swear comes into threads I've commented on solely to be snippy and disagree with me. It's really annoying.
Ridiculous. Seriously, you posted suggestions for shoes & get staked for it? Lame. Even moreso because some of the girls who flamed your shoe picks posted heels over 2". Direction fail.
And for the record, I love those plum flats. Grandmas unite!
And I also haaaate when people use Christ's name in vain - or put Him on a cracker. Wtf, is that necessary?
