Stupid Health Insurance Dilema
I posted a few weeks back, the plan we have now, doubled cost per paycheck. It went up to $503 every 2 weeks!!! So basically a little over $1000 per month. The 2nd plan is the one that covers 75% with a deductible, cost every 2 weeks is $165.
Unfortunately, even with it being pretax I don't think we can afford the better plan. We would lose a pretty large chunk of $$ every month. Like a lot, like a car payment or more worth.
This blows.
I can't believe the price on it went up that much.
Fuc&!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Booze, it's what's for dinner

Re: Stupid Health Insurance Dilema
If I were to cover my spouse/child my insurance would cost $600-something a month. For me, it costs $730-something a year. It used to cost us nothing, but they decided to charge us now.
DH covers himself and R (and me as a secondary) for $26 per pay period.
I think it's outrageous what they charge (not DH's...mine)
I do agree.
I'm just pissy over what we currently have more than doubleing per check. I have a feeling that it probably costs the company a lot of money for the 100% coverage and maybe they are trying to push employees out of taking it. If so, it worked!! LOL
I hear you. I'm the only one working right now, and the family plan for us is almost $975.00 per month. We just can't afford it. So I have insurance for me, but not for DH or the kids. I pay out of pocket for exams and stuff...and altogether, we never spend more out of pocket than the insurance would cost us.
I'm really hoping to hear good news from the job I interviewed for. I worked there before and had full family coverage for only $75.00 per pay.
