How do you do your tile floors?

I have been using a swiffer wet jet and I don't feel like I'm doing a great job. I always sweep first but somehow this just makes the dust/grimy spots/hair wet, and then it gets stuck in the grooves between the tiles. I don't have a large area- just for bathrooms and kitchen but it still isn't great :(

 What do you guys do?

Re: How do you do your tile floors?

  • I don't have a dog, but when I clean our tile floors (which are also only in our kitchen, bathroom and hallway), I vacuum them first.  I've found when I sweep them, the dirt and "stuff" just settles in the grooves.  Then I use my Swiffer wet jet and they look great.

  • I also vacuum first. After that, I either use a wet floor cloth (I like the Target brand) or I use a special attachment for my carpet cleaner. It is supposed to work like one of the special hard floor cleaners.  It tends to leave the floor a little wetter than I would like.
