Re-Introduction :)
Hello ladies 
I was formerly on the knot and moved over to the nest when I got married March 21st, 2009. I have 2 dogs Bosley a mix terrier and George the beagle. We are currently TTC after I was diagnosed with graves disease last year. I went through radiation treatment to remove my thyroid and have been struggling with medication for the past year. I am finally stabilized which is why we decided to try to get pregnant. I work 7 days a week, m-f I work at a middle school in the special ed office and on sat and sun I am a nail technician and get to paint pretty nails The hubs and I finally moved into a small house after living 4 years in a 1 bedroom ohana unit. Some of you may remember my rants about my naked neighbor that use to complain and terrorize my dogs. Well, since we moved we have a new neighbor who also terrorizes my dogs....I'll tell that story in a separate post. Back to my re-introduction. I was born and raised on Oahu and have lived on Maui for the past 10 years. My hubs is from Maui and we met at work. We were friends for several years before we started to date and it has been wonderful ever since, even though he has some baggage that I wish I could sell at a garage sell. Life is good and I have very few complaints

I'm Leah, and I live in the north suburbs of Chicago. I'm originally from Wisconsin (a very small town), and MH is from L.A. We got married on Maui in July of 2009, and we recently had a little boy, Henry, who is now 3 months old. We met online (never thought I'd do it, but here we are!). We also have two cats, Paija and Tacy.
I work as an elementary music teacher, and (mostly!) I love my job. I'm having a rough transition at the moment, since I just starting working again two weeks ago after my maternity leave. It's hard being so busy (I thought I was busy before.....yikes!), but I do love my students and missed them over my leave. I teach grades 1-5, and also have a 4-5 grade chorus, which we are currently preparing for Christmas concerts.

I'm Lindsay, and I live Southwest of Denver in the "burbs". I'm orginally from Phoenix, AZ and met my now hubby while working in AZ. He has a daughter who is 15 (she stays with us every other weekend) and we just learned we are expecting a baby boy! We both moved to Denver about 5-6 years ago so hubby can be closer to his daughter while she grows up and we got married on Maui in August of 2008.
We both work in the financial industry and are very busy (even w/out full-time children). I'm toying with the idea if I should leave my job or be a working momma, we will see. I love what I do, I love the office I work in so it would be a hard transititon if I do choose to leave.

Fun! Although I rarely post, I go through periods where I post a lot or I just read.
We got married on Nov 5, 2007 - yup anniversary is just days away and we have no idea what we're going to do for our "last one with just us". We're expecting a little girl on Dec 19 (17?), but I definitely don't have baby on the brain - maybe that's odd, I don't know (secret - I don't even have a nursery set up, but I do have a car seat!). MH and I met at work and had a pretty quick relationship (8 months)->engagement (9 months)->marriage (ongoing
). We're a bit older, so I think we just both knew right away. I like to say meeting him was like coming home. We've been remodeling our home (rather paying someone to do it), and it is done! We just need to move all our crap from the garage and various places back into the house. I will be a working mama, so I'm looking forward to losing my mind 
- no I really like my job, I find it rewarding, and I enjoy the people I work with, but it keeps me incredibly busy (I work in software). Nice to re-meet you gals!
Hi Reese!! My name is Leah and I was married November 2009. Can't believe that our anniversary is just days away. Its crazy how fast a year passes by. I live in AZ... lived here my entire life. My husband is from Oregon and moved here after a year of dating long distance. We met at a wedding in San Francisco and dated for a little over 5 years before getting married. I work at ASU and my husband works at Intel. I've started working for some local wedding photographers, assisting them with post-production. I'm hopeful that one day I can just do this from home - but for now I am super busy with both jobs

My name is Vanessa & I have graduated from each board (1st knottie, then nestie & now also bumpie!). I was married early last year on the Big Island (Kona). DH & I are both born & raised (and still in) New Orleans. We actually went to the same high school but were never friends until college. We started dating my sophomore year at LSU. We moved to LA for about 6 years, but we missed family & NOLA too much so we returned almost 3 years ago. We just had a little girl about 8 weeks ago...she is awesome but A LOT of work!!!

I'm Kristen, From NJ live in Denver. H grew up on Maui, we met in Denver, moved to Seattle, got engaged, married in Makena on Maui, pregnant (ended in M/C), moved back to Denver, pg again and our little monkey was born a year and a half ago.
I'm a SAHM w/ a side stationery business, did a bunch of the old knotties wedding invites and still remain friends w/ many of them. I rarely post on the boards anymore but stay connected through FB

Well, my name is Beth and I live in MN. DH and I were married at Olowalu in March of this year. I frequented TK boards a lot during wedding planning and tried to become aquainted with my "home" board on TN but it just wasn't the same so here I am again in Hawaii! Yay!
I currently work in social services, I guess you could say, and we are TTC while DH works as a land surveyor on the road. So needless to say I am probably not getting KU'd any time soon, especially with some new diagnosis.
Can't wait to get to know you all better and get in the swing of this Nestie business!
I started out posting a bit on a few other boards on TK (don't even remember which ones now) and never really caught on, until I after got married, thought to check out the Hawaii board, and I've been here ever since.
MH and I met at work in the SF bay area (we're both engineers) and were attracted to each other, but everything was strictly professional, so we went our separate ways for 4 years and occasionally kept in touch via e-mail. Then we reconnected through a snowboarding trip with some old co-workers and went on our first date a couple of weeks after that. We ended up dating for about 5 months before he proposed and we got married about a yr later. We both knew this was the one so it all happened quickly, and we were long-distance the whole time (we both went back to grad school, but in different states) so we were set on getting married and living together sooner rather than later. Now it's been a little over 2 years since our wedding in Oahu and we have a little 5-mo old boy and two huskies (one is almost 1.5yrs old, another is almost 2yrs old).
I'm currently working FT (w/half-time working from home, still as an engineer) but the lure of SAHM is still pulling at me everyday =P so we'll see...

I am Lori and married my husband, Joseph, in Kauai on 09.29.07. I was on The Knot from 2006-2008 and then came over here (thanks to MrsPresley's encouragement)! We met in San Jose, CA while students at the university (he's from San Diego and I am from San Francisco) and reconnected in 2001 while working for Opera San Jose. In late 2007 we decided to quit singing for a living and In June 2008 we relocated from San Jose to Tulsa, OK and have been here ever since. I work as a dept. manager for an international nonprofit and J is a fulltime student studying nursing and waits tables at a steakhouse 4-5 nights a week. On January 25 of this year we welcomed our first child, Libby. We have two pugs, Regina and Luigi and a tuxedo kitty named Bella.

My name is Jen, and I've was on TK from 2008 as ejenjoo, then changed my name to jujubee96. I got married on May 22, 2009. MH is from Mililani, HI, and I'm from Philly; we both live in LA (we were both living in LA when we met). We are also a match.com success story - I actually met him on the first day of my 3 day trial period on match!
No pets, NBOTB exactly... I wish I could be, because I feel the biological clock ticking, like a lot. I loved "meeting" so many of the girls here, and I've met inamra and her hubby once before she had her LO; I also met some LA Hawaii knotties at 2 GTGs... I know one of them - she came to both GTGs - was pretty active again on this board after a hiatus... dang, can't remember her screenname or IRL name. She's blond, has at least one step-daughter.... are you still around girl and reading this? (Waving HI!)
Anyway, btw, Vanessa, if you are reading this, wow, CONGRATS!!!! I wonder if you are a facebook friend, I will look and post a more appropriate congratulations. When I was on TK in 2008, a lot of the great nesties/bumpies were still there.... then as I was wedding planning closer to the date, thoperoscope (Reese), vanilla15 (Vanessa), of course kaesha (Alyson) were around, plenty others too but my mine is going blank right now.... wait, MiniWheats was around - didn't you used to have a great e-pic in your siggy of you and FI on train tracks? Dang, I don't know who that was if it wasn't MiniWheats. And jaymers was around then too. I really hope some of the knotties who are still on TK migrate here when they feel like it - I was around for some of them too.
Sorry, one thing you already know about me if you've seen me on the boards before is that I ramble on too much.
Back to the re-intro - MH is an attorney; well, practiced in Hawaii but is studying for the CA bar right now. I used to work at a government job that I hated - but now I'm on disability and trying to get as better as possible so my doctor will be comfortable with me TTC. I'm hoping to get back in the education field, not exactly sure what though, and I'm volunteer tutoring a student right now in Geometry.
The hubby and I moved to Santa Monica a year ago - I shared over here back then, and I love it! We live right next to Ocean Ave., which has a running path with an amazing view of the ocean. I said back then here that I would post some pics of my home "remodeling" - it's not really remodeling - just painting and pics up, etc. (it's an apartment). Still need to do that!
I'm avidly trying to become a better runner..... and last random fact, I ordered a BM dress a size too small for me for a wedding I'll be in in February so that I'll be motivated to exercise more. It's been working on the exercising more part, but not so much on the eating better part.

I'm Sujen. I live in Portland, OR (specifically Beaverton). I'm a trauma ICU nurse and my husband works as a business planner for Nike. We got married at Lanikuhonua back in May 2008...feels like a long time ago! I LOOOOOVE to go on vacation, particularly to warm sunny tropical beaches. I'm considering going to grad school to get my masters in nursing, but I'm currently in the application process and will figure out what I want after I know if I'm accepted. I love photography and hope to take more classes to get more proficient someday. I'm still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. No BOTB now, but would love to someday! I love our nestie/bumpie board--if anything--i miss hearing about everyone's LO and how much they've grown up. Hehe, maybe I should start lurking over there as well! I watch my little niece one day every week so she's around the same age.

i'm sandra, started on the HI knot board in late 2007 when i started wedding planning. met wally at work in 2005, dated for 1.5 years before getting engaged. got married in May 2008 (and sadly, that was the last time we've been to HI! we've already committed to going again next year, with LO - I can't wait!!).
we both work in the software industry, though neither of us write code anymore. i'm planning to go back to work FT in April and work for at least 6 months, then determine whether i want to stay FT, try to do PT (pretty rare at my company), or SAH. we live in Seattle. MH spent 10 yrs in the bay area there before moving up here and really misses it - we both have a ton of friends there, and living there would be better for both our jobs. however, after many years of debate, we decided that Seattle was our home now, and we bought a house in the 'burbs this past summer. it's been a bit of an adjustment living outside the city, but we do love our house!
