Have you turned your heat on yet?

We still haven't and it was freezing in our house this morning. We have been using a little heater in our room at night. I told DH this morning it was coming on today whether he liked it or not. It was 58 in our house when I woke up.

Re: Have you turned your heat on yet?

  • Yes but only a little.  Acutally it probably wouldnt have if my Mom wasnt visiting.

  • Heck yes!  I half-heartedly told DH that we didn't have to and that we could tough it out for a little bit, but he knows I'm a wimp and turned it on anyway :)
  • Our system is set to "automatic" so when it drops below our set temp the heat comes on and when it gets above our other set temp is turns on the a/c.  I love it... it's like a 4 degree window. lol
  • We finally had to turn out upstairs heat on because of Harriet the Hedgehog. We're going to go get her her own little lamp this weekend though that'll keep her warm.

It was also a little chilly this morning when I came downstairs and I was tempted to turn on the fireplace, but since I was running out the door to class, figured it wouldn't have made a difference.

We're trying to hold out to really turn on the heat. Lol

  • Most definitely!  And we've had a fire nearly every night this week! brrrrr

  • Yup, we did, our place is super drafty. It's only turned to 68, but it's on. If DH didn't work from home & work graveyards, I don't think we would have yet. But to be up all night working & still be freezing, even in sweats is an uncomfortable distraction.
  • Yes, I despise being cold.  It's set on 68.  I'm also already wearing my winter coat.

  • Yes we broke down and put it on one night last week. I work from home and was freezing since our yard is shady. It was only about 60 in our house and I told DH I either needed some fingerless gloves or we were turning the heat on. :)
  • I turned ours on for the first time last night.  When we got back from our trip, it was 53 degrees in our house.  I turned the heat on to make it 65.  It felt GREAT!
  • We finally turned ours on yesterday and it's set on 65. Over the weekend it got to about 59 in the house and that was way too cold.
