What's for dinner? (or on your menu this week)
I'm going to the grocery store after work and I need ideas! Now that Brody is starting to eat more table foods (finally!) I think I need to start cooking more and not have a Lean Cuisine for dinner [:)}
Re: What's for dinner? (or on your menu this week)
I'm still working on it but this is what I have so far...
Tonight: Fend for yourself
Tomorrow: i'm going to make a big roast beef dinner
Sunday: ?, it will be a big deal, I like to do those on the weekends, most likely with chicken
Monday: Tacos
Tuesday: Monteray Chicken
Wednesday: BLTs
...
Books read in 2011: 111
Books read in 2012: 100
my read shelf:
Grilled Cheese + Tomato Soup (or I will make a bisque if I have time)
Chicken pot pie
Spinach lasagna
Roasted Chicken (in the crockpot) with veggies and/or mashed potatoes
What is Brody starting to eat now? What is his favorite food, can you tell yet?
Crystal -- He's just now starting to show an interest in feeding himself food other than puffs or dry cereal, but he loves grilled cheese and veggie burger patties!
CRAFTY ME
my read shelf:
Last night I made homemade spicy chicken nuggets (baked not fried)
Tonight spaghetti and homemade meatballs (leftover from meatball subs earlier this week).
Cheesy Chicken and Rice
Bruschetta Stuffed chicken
Chicken Wraps
Chicken tacos
White Chicken Chili
I have no idea as I usually do my shopping on Saturday mornings but I have an all day test tomorrow so hopefully DH will surprise me.
These are all great menus and I will be taking some of these for my shopping on Sunday.
Anyone have any of these recipes to share?
I love that he likes veggie burger patties. What about a panko baked chicken nugget. Have you tried putting cheese on top of veggies to see if he would show more interest?
I am trying to think of foods that i used to make for the toddlers I baby sat.
This sounds really good. I would like the recipe to this if possible.
Thanks!
I made a really good supper in the crockpot Wednesday. I put in 2 chicken breasts, a can of chicken broth, a can of cream of potato soup and a can of mushroom soup. I cooked that on low for about 6 hours.
When I got home from work I shredded the chicken a bit. I boiled some egg noodles, then added that to the mixture. And served it with some green beans. Next time I will add a can of mushrooms to the crockpot.
Quinoa Curry
Grilled Cheese and Tomato soup
other than that right now I don't know
Probably Quinoa burgers as well.
Lucy right now has been having this for table foods
All in small squares:
Avocado, Plums, Grapes ( I just slice them thin), Apples (that I boil slightly to make them softer), graham crackers, joe's o's, cheese, meat (when we have it), banana, cooked carrots
I'm sure there is more but I can't think of it right now. She is loving feeding herself to we try to do some finger food for her at every meal
Tonight she'll have Egg yolk ( I forgot that one above) that I cook and then rip into bite size pieces, cheese and pumpkin pancakes because we are doing breakfast for dinner so she will have similar to what we have (as well as some squash/sweet potato/pumpin puree
