I ordered Jake a play kitchen off of amazon last Friday. It said 3-5 days to process and then it was supposed to be 2 day shipping. I got an email from them this morning saying that they are unsure of iventory, blah, blah, blah, they are now estimating the order will process by the 12th. I know I have awhile to Christmas, but they don't charge till the item ships and I hate having outstanding orders against my checking acct, because sometimes forget, and I was just getting annoyed about the situation. I ended up canceling my order through amazon this morning and placing the order with Step2. Same price as amazon with free shipping. At least they took the payment right away so I don't have to worry about that and it should be here in a week.
Re: One more complaint for today...
I realy hate delays like that too! Especially when they give a line about inventory. Makes me think they'll put me off, then put me off again, then finally say it's just not available and by that point I'll be screwed out of ordering from anywhere else, hah.
So, in short, I think you did the right thing.
