Weekend Plans?
My MIL arrives tomorrow.
We are starting solids this weekend.
Sunday, we are taking Dagger to his first renfest. I almost want to get him a mini period costume.

I'm supposed to go to a friend's bday party tonight but I don't feel like it. Meh.
Bumming around the house, otherwise. Probably making some mac & cheese and maybe some PB cookies and setting up all of my stuffed animals and naming them after you guys and having a pretend GTG.
Husbands should be like Kleenex: Soft, strong, and disposable.
Going to a schmancy black-tie fundraiser thing tomorrow night.
Other than that mostly just playing with my newly walking (omg!) child. Probably baking/cooking some stuff? Homemade mac and cheese sounds good.

Then I plan on eating hot wings and eggplant, drinking raspberry leaf tea, forcing myself upon my husband and generally trying to get this kid to be punctual.
For less then ten cents a day, you can feed a hungry child.

My parents, some high school friends, and some college friends all decided separately to come to town tomorrow. I don't really know how I'm going to spend time with all of them (whoa is me).
Sunday I have to work.
I think I'm also going to try those breathe right nasal strips this weekend, because I've been getting a ridiculous stuffy nose at night when I try to sleep. I know you'll all be eagerly awaiting my report of the results.
Today I am melting. Not only is it supposed to be over 90, but the HVAC system at work is broken and the heat is stuck on. Awesome.
Tomorrow we're cleaning all our carpets and couches. FUN. We'll also watch the Ducks embarrass the Huskies and be sad. Sunday we're driving up to some town in Riverside County for the Day Out With Thomas, where Will will ride on a train that is led by an actual full-sized Thomas steam engine.
Only there 48 hours which is good, flying in tonight leave late Sunday afternoon. House stuff has calmed down. We got power, inspections are done and turned out great so we are on track to close the 19th.
The good thing is they have a family friend who was in New Mexico with them last year also coming in and staying at the house. So I don't think I have to have any alone time with my MIL...

Tomorrow: grocery shopping and the library to get more books for Ian. He cannot get enough. Then following him around the house because last night he figured out how to open doors.
Sunday: spending the day at my parents' house.
Yawn.
We're staying in Jersey for dinner, but going to a french place that won Best of NJ a few years back, called Chez Catherine. It's in my sister's town so it's easy to just drop Miles off at her place then go to dinner. I love escargot.
OH MY GOD!!! is that a travelling show or do I have to fly Lila in for the weekend? If it's the latter, let me know when you're available to pick her up at the airport. She'll be the one a stack of peanut butter sandwiches under her arm. Wrapped of course.

This is the weekend of "the bet." Giants (my husband's team) vs. Seahawks (my team). This is the bet that started our relationship 4 years ago. A fifth of Makers Mark is the traditional payout, but this year we've upped the ante. Mucho is going to be Switzerland this weekend, but then the loser has to buy her the winning team's jersey, which she will wear to "school" on "wear your team's jersey to school day" in a couple weeks.
Otherwise, we are hanging out. Everybody around us seems to have plans, and we are lame-os. Probably hit the park, go for a walk, weather permitting.

That's fabulous. People invite themselves to our house when the Redskins play the Buccaneers. It can get intense.
We play each other in our fantasy league this week. We've been trying to come up with an appropriate bet.

I am in the midst of a 4 day weekend. Yesterday I went to the teacher's convention. Today we went to lunch, did some grocery shopping and raked leaves. I'm about to head to the dog park and then tonight I'll do lesson plans while my H cooks for tailgating and plays stupid Fable 3 for another thousand hours.
The rest of the weekend will be lounging around, doing report cards, and hanging at the dog park while trying not be bitter that my H is having a much more exciting weekend than I am. He's got a Penn State game tomorrow, Eagles game on Sunday and a Roger Waters concert on Monday.
