Reuseable bags

Just saw on the news and if you use reuseable shopping bags they say to wash them (or wipe them down with antibatriceral (sp?) wipes if they can not be washed). They tested ones that people use and had all kinds of germs on them. Nothing to make anyone major sick, but they are recommending that you wash them every once in a while or wipe down.

Thought I pass along. Right now we just go with the plastic bags at the store, but I need to use reuseable, I just forget

Re: Reuseable bags

  • Good to know! I need a XXL reuseable bag. We shop for a week at a time...that's 10 bags!
  • we have like 15 reusable bags and use them all the time for different things. i have heard the same thing about the recommendation to wash them - especially since we use them for different things (never anything like carrying shoes in or something gross like that though....) we've washed them in the washer on gentle cycle with no issues.
